When families book mini sessions, it usually means I get to see them twice every year! I love watching these littles grow! I love capturing each stage, see their smiles come alive, their relationships with one another deepen. It warms my heart to be able to spend a little time that lasts a lifetime <3

Every year they book a full family session and every year they show up with their beautiful smiles and contagious love. l look forward to this session every year not only because I capture so much love, but because they are beautiful inside and out. It radiates and I am lucky enough to be an observer of it <3
I am one lucky photographer to have know this family since big sister was just shy of two years old. I LOVE seeing them every year! This gorgeous summer session happened just as the rain passed through leaving us with the most beautiful farmhouse light!
Freelensing Art Minis are becoming my favorite sessions. This session was no exception with two of my favorite little people! We met at a wildflower field and these two got to explore as I followed them around! I am not sure they even felt like they were being photographed! I am always humbled to be hired for a session that speaks to my heart and allows me to truly be an artist <3<3
When I discovered freelensing earlier this year, I fell in love. Finally, a way to break free from perfection, from tack-sharp images and perfect composition (or the ‘ugh’ from not achieving them). I found a new way to capture my world that was interesting to look at, that pulled me in. But, taking a million freelensed pictures of my own kids is just fine and dandy because they are for me, and me alone. When I decided to offer these to clients, I knew that I would only get a few families (if I was lucky!) and that I would have to explain what they would be getting in their gallery three times to make sure they would not be disappointed with the outcome. I decided strawberry picking would be the perfect setting; no posing, no direction, and very little interaction because I knew my little clients would be so distracted by picking and eating strawberries that they would hardly notice me. I was nervous uploading the pictures, but when I saw the perfectly imperfect sessions before my eyes, all of my nerves melted away. Here are a few shots of the three wonderful families that trusted me as an artist with something new and creative <3<3
